For Italians, the public holiday of Assumption Day in the middle of the month is the perfect chance to kick back with friends and family and enjoy one of Italy’s greatest pastimes, eating great home cooked food! This month at Fetta Di Casa, we’ve prepared for you a menu brimming with authentic Italian recipes to help you enjoy August the Italian way, right here in the heart of London.

This month’s menu begins with our sweet house aperitivo with plenty of our homemade foccacia to share around with your fellow guests. Once you’re settled in, it’s time to enjoy a hand-picked selection of regional Italian antipasti dishes.

For your main course, you can chose between a meat-based dish or a vegetarian option, each of which is prepared to perfectly compliment the time of the season. For meat lovers, the Carne option consists of a Trofie pasta from Liguria, with pancetta and courgette cream. For those who would prefer a vegetable dish, the Verdure option consists of an oven-baked aubergine parmigiana with fresh tomato sauce and stringy mozzarella.

After your mouth-watering main course has settled, it’s time for the dessert which this month features the summertime classic of watermelon jelly. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more refreshing dish in any restaurant!
